In regards to Eventbrite it’s been very successful in providing the appointment/scheduling service. Knowing what folks have prior to arrival and  how to contact them for items we don’t accept and where they can be taken.  We also have a portion of our community without internet so when we register we are provided contact information for a snail mail follow up.

We haven’t , so far, received any anxious residents regarding the registration process.

Our events run smoothly without long lines and we know what to expect for the most part.  A few participants just show up without registering but that is a small minority.

As far as Eventbrite itself, we do not take any financial, credit or debit card numbers,  information from folks, in case of hacking into the site, information would be regarding the waste folks want to recover and where they live.

Subject: RE: HHW Appointment Scheduling Software

We at Emmet County have been looking into the same thing. We have talked to:

·         ReCollect—still in the running

·         Our web site hosts—have declined

·         Eaton County, which uses/used to use EventBrite—still in the running

We have hesitated to use EventBrite because it seems a bit creepy for our citizens to have to give all of their information (register) to a private ticket company to make an appointment for a government service. If anyone has tried this, how did your customers react to registering?

Thanks!

Kate

Group

Hope all had a nice Holiday Season and are ready for a great year in 2019.

Livingston County is looking into some type of service/software that would allow us the ability to primarily allow residents to schedule a HHW appointment online and without the assistance of our staff via the phone.  This takes a considerable amount of staff time taking appointments during our HHW/Other events time period from April until October.

We have been in discussions with ReCollect, but wanted to know if any of our colleagues might have some other opportunities/companies for us to look into.

If it also allowed us to manage a data base of residents wishing to be reminded of events that we do for tires and electronics, etc., reminder texts and emails, and other tasks, that would be something that we might be interested in as well.

Thank you and we would appreciate any information/contacts that you could provide.
