Hi All,
I have been recently approached by our Health Education Director about if we have seen E-cigs/vaping devices at our sites or medication take-back locations.
At this time, we have not but was wondering if anybody else has and how you guys process it. This topic keeps coming up more and more and just wanted to be ahead of the game just in case we start seeing them.
EGLE’s site tells people to take them to HHW drop off locations and that the toxic tobacco should be incinerated. I reached out to the Kent County incinerator and they at this time haven’t been approached with this question and as of now
says it has to be processed by an HHW processing facility due to the guidance given on the EGLE’s Hazardous Waste website.

I have reached out to Christina Grossman with EGLE and our HHW vendor (US Ecology) and waiting for an answer but figured I would also see what everyone else is doing or planning on doing.
Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.
Thank you,
