A Quest for Convenience:

Drug Take-Back at Retail Pharmacies

October 15, 2015 | 2-3:30 pm EDT

Last September, the DEA expanded a rule to allow hospitals, narcotic treatment programs, and retail pharmacies to collect controlled substances, increasing opportunities for collection of unwanted medicines. Despite the rule change, many retail pharmacies have been hesitant to become approved collection sites.

Questions, concerns, and uncertainties abound. What challenges are faced in implementing collection sites? Do retailers benefit from having a collection site in their pharmacy? Is security an issue? What will it cost? Our expert speakers will discuss the successful implementation and management of take-back programs at retail pharmacies since the DEA rule change, address common questions and concerns, and explore opportunities for replicating take-back success in more retail pharmacies on our upcoming webinar.
