Saginaw County has a total of 10 drop boxes currently being serviced in and around the County…We ‘re hoping to start a fulltime permanent facility collaborating with Mid Michigan Waste Authority collecting HHW, Clean Sweep, and E-Waste.  Unwanted medications would also be included.

Thanks, Steve

Midland County has a drop box location that we call “Dump Your Drugs”. It is at the Law Enforcement Building, 2727 Rodd Street, Midland MI 48640. No questions asked!

The Health Department manages 4 HHW collections each year and collect drugs at those also.

Thanks,

Mike

Christine, I know that Ottawa County Heath Dept maintains drop boxes in their Co buildings, because I sold and delivered them to them.  Our program will be changing very soon too.  Kent County will be rebranding their entire organization and changing the names of their programs to something like SAFE HOUSE??  So our West Mich Take Back will go away and become this new thing, but I’ll keep you informed as it happens.

I appreciate your sharing this update.  What directory is incorrect that requires these corrections?  Is it the one at www.michigan.gov/wasterecycling?  If so, I’ll pass it on for correction.  I have a separate file I’m using to independently track too which I will check, but I want to be sure to pass this information on to the right folks to make the corrections. Thanks!

Hello all.  I’ve been working to build new resources to help households and healthcare properly manage drug waste.  In doing this, we/DEQ recently created a new web page of drug disposal that can be accessed at www.micghian.gov/deqdrugdisposal. We have a great PSA under the announcements and a new Michigan Household Drug Take Back Programs Web page too.  Before we start market these resources, I’d like to verify I’ve got all of your county pharmaceutical waste collection program websites listed on the web page.  If our web page is missing your collection’s web page, can you please share the web address for your program with me and I’ll get it added?  Thank you for your help and please let me know if you have any questions!
