Our County has 70,000 people and we do not take appointments.  We found that it is more work than its worth.

Subject: Very Small Population, First HHW: Take Appointments?

I am writing on behalf of one of our recycling partner counties: Presque Isle, population roughly 13,050.  They are planning their first HHW event (in at least a decade) for this summer and trying to decide whether to take appointments or not.

We have always taken appointments, so I don’t have much perspective to offer them in this regard.  If you represent a rural community that runs HHW events without appointments and you would be available to talk with them about your experience, please contact me.
