Hello Friends,
I hope all is well with you and you have time to enjoy this lovely Fall weather.
With 2017 right around the corner (hard to believe Thanksgiving is just a month away!), I wanted to take this opportunity to touch base with you regarding your 2017 training needs.
In 2017, Hazmat Strategies has three trainings specifically designed for HHW professionals:
1. Chemistry for the Non-Chemist - a five-hour training geared toward HHW professionals. Tentative training date: Mid-January 2017. Cost: $160 per person.
This class is designed for anyone working in the hazardous waste field, including hazmat technicians, regulators, HHW staff and volunteers. In an exciting hands-on class, your staff will learn an appreciation for especially dangerous chemicals, hazard classes, along with some tools for identification of unknown chemicals.
2. 24-Hour HAZWOPER Training - a comprehensive 3-day training for HHW professionals. Tentative training dates: mid-February 2017. Cost: $350 per person.
The focus is on collection-logistics, site safety, PPE, hazards identifications, "things that go boom," tabletop exercises and the opportunity to discuss nagging problems in your program.
3. 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher - a one-day comprehensive review of important HAZWOPER safety concepts plus collection logistics and chemistry demonstrations. Tentative training date: early-March. Cost: $200 per person.
Please let me know if you have an interest in any of these trainings. For the 24-Hour training, we need a minimum of 10 students. You can respond directly to me at: hazmatstrategies@gmail.com
Thank you,
Tom
