Our program runs every Tuesday and Thursday from the first week of May thru last week of September, 2pm till 6pm, no appointment necessary. During Oct thru April we take in wastes only by appointment, not at the customer’s convenience, but at ours. We will start on Monday each week, viewing the weather forecast, we will look for one or two days with good weather and that the drop off site is not buried in snow. We then check staff schedule and most weeks we can find a day and time to set up for intake, for example today at 2-3 pm. As people call in we can schedule them for drop off and limit drop offs to what we can do in about an hour. We cannot take in materials safely for several hours in the cold (does not take place in a heated building but work is all done outside).  For poundage and vehicles, see attached doc.

Subject: Looking for program data

Hello all,

I am working on a presentation I am giving on January 9 and am hoping you can provide me with some basic data on your respective programs.

1)      Name of program; is it municipal, countywide, multi-county or some other iteration

2)      Approximately how many pounds will you collect in 2016 (or you can use 2015 data if that is easier)

3)      Brief description of how often residents can access your program: are you year-round, once a week, once in spring and once in fall, etc

4)      Approximately how many households did you serve in 2016, and what percent of households in your service area does this represent.

If I were answering, my responses would be:

1)      Countywide

2)      About 370,000 # in 2016

3)      Open first three Saturdays of the month without appointment, April – November; available Monday – Friday by appointment year-round

4)      5,400 households; 3.88% of households in Washtenaw County

Thank you for your help.  Happy holidays to you.
