Hello HHW family,

 

It was great to see so many of you at yesterday’s Roundtable meeting! Looking forward to seeing more of you Friday at HAZWOPER. Christine already sent out most of her handouts between emails Monday and Tuesday. Thanks Christine! Here are my meeting minutes, “Local Special Waste Collections Survey Summary (2)” (the details of MDEQ’s 2015 survey of HHW programs), plus handouts from Jon Tulman (Washtenaw) and Amy Lafferty (MDEQ).   

 

Jon Tulman also asked me to mention:

some folks at the meeting asked for a copy of our (Washtenaw County’s) draft solid waste management plan.  The draft was just released and because of its size, and also due to expected absences, a decision was made a few hours ago (2/28) to cancel the March committee meeting when the plan was to be discussed.  The plan review will now happen at the April meeting.

 

Our policy is to not release drafts to anyone until it is ready for public comment.  That probably won’t take place now until mid-April (hopefully!).
