We are trying to collect some preliminary data on a latex re-blend program. One big question we have is how much paint is actually out there. That is where I am hoping you all can come in. Would you be willing to share some information with me?

 

Any responses please send to: megan.kretz@kentcountymi.gov. I can share the data after it is collected.

 

1.       How much latex paint do you receive in a week? Year? Any data you have that quantifies the amount of latex paint would be useful.

2.       If you accept latex paint, do you also re-blend and offer it back to the community?

3.       If you don’t re-blend the paint, do you offer the gallon size paint cans back to the community through a program?

4.       If you re-blend the paint, how many employees does it take to sustain that individual program?

5.       Do you accept all latex paint or just “the good-stuff”?

6.       What % of latex paint that you take in is given back to the community through a re-use program?  

7.       Any other info you want to share would be helpful.
