Echoing what Steve said. Elemental carbon? Carbon medium for filtration? Used, and if so, how?

Subject: 55 Gallon Drum of Carbon?
Good Morning,
Just had a resident ask what to do with a 55 gallon drum filled with carbon. My first thought was a local scrap metal dealer but I am wondering if any of you have a better suggestion?
Thanks,
