The new unified portal for information on this opioids is live at www.michigan.gov/opioids.  Drug disposal resources are found under the find help and programs & data tabs, should you be looking for that information. 

 

I’d encourage you to share this page with your local health departments addressing this topic and your webmaster so they can add access to the resource to your web pages to help combat the crisis. 

 

I’d also encourage you to ask your staff who handle your social media to stay tuned and chime in for our Twitter Chat on 10/24 from 12 to 1.  See more on our twitter feed.  If they’d like more information, I’d recommend they contact the Michigan State Medical Society who is sponsoring the chat.  See screenshot below (sorry I’m not a social media savvy person).
